Project of the Year Award

Each year, the Project Management Institute – North Saskatchewan Chapter (PMI-NSC) presents an award for Project of the Year to the Project Manager(s) whose projects demonstrate excellence in the areas of Project Management, as well as those that display leadership, agility, and innovation. The selected project will have delivered significant value and return on investment (ROI) for the customer, and demonstrated organizational and societal benefits beyond the stated scope of the project.

 

Qualifications

In order to qualify, Project Managers must be nominated:

  • for exceptional performance on at least one of the 10 PMI knowledge areas
  • by 2 people who were not part of the Project Leadership
  • on a non-recurring, non-operational project
  • for a project with a completion date between January 1st, 2019, and January 31st, 2020
  • for any project with a minimum budget of at least $50,000 

 

If there is more than one qualified project, the selection volunteer team shall consider:

  • Best cost and value per dollar spent (ROI) for the customer
  • Organizational and societal benefits
  • Agility of delivery or innovation of solution
 
 

Recognition

The winning Project Manager and organization will receive:

  • an award and benfits related to PMI-NSC events, presented at the May 2020 Gala
  • recognition on the PMI-NSC website and on social media
  • opportunity to present their project at a monthly PMI-NSC luncheon

Deadline to submit is March 15th, 2020.
