PoY aims to celebrate excellence in project management and value delivery! PMI-NSC, through POY, seeks to widely celebrate successes in project management and will share information on all projects submitted with the whole community.  

 

  1. Benefits to nominees and winners

Nominees and winners in PoY event will benefit the following: 

  • Share the project(s) with the community  
  • Enhance a culture of celebrating excellence in Project Management 

And if the project wins:     

  • The winner will have opportunity to present the project at a PMI-NSC PDC event
  • The winner gets an award from PMI-NSC   
  • Social media spotlight from PMI-NSC for the winner 
  • Good, old-fashioned bragging!

What are the requirements to submit a project(s) for POY?

  • Excellence in one or more of the 10 PMI Performance Domains
  • The Project is successfully closed before August 30, 2026 
  • Non-recurring, non-operational project
  • The project or company is located in Saskatchewan
  • Community and/or organizational benefits delivered
  • Leadership and/or innovation exemplified by the Project Manager and team
  • Added benefit: Documented lessons learned
 

How will the winning project be celebrated?

  • The winning project will be announced at the Fall 2026 Professional Development Conference (PDC) and the Project Manager (or representative) will be presented with an award
  • The Project Manager (or representative) will present the winning project at PDC
  • The winning project will be announced on PMI-NSC’s social media platforms
  • More prizes to be added!
