Therese McIlmoyl

President-Elect

Therese McIlmoyl has been a member of PMI and the North Saskatchewan Chapter (NSC) since 2008.  She attained the PMP designation in 2011 and she is also a Certified Professional Accountant (CPA), which led her to volunteer for the role of VP Finance on the NSC Board of Directors in 2018. Therese handed off the VP Finance position and accepted the role as President Elect for the current term.

Therese’s passion for project management dates back to her early career where she participated in and led the project teams of numerous improvement projects and construction projects.  Her first exposure to PMI and the PMP designation was in 2006 as Sponsor of a significant accounting system implementation project.  The structure and processes led by her Project Manager impressed her such that she began a journey toward ensuring that all future projects that she led would follow the PMI methodology.

On a personal note, Therese and her husband, Dave, have five children between them with ten grandchildren.  They enjoy travelling, canoeing and camping in their Boler.

Therese is committed to using her skills and expertise as a PMP and CPA to benefit the Profession and she will continue to promote PMI and NSC to the business community and individuals involved in managing projects.
