Dr. Roberta Bondar
The first Canadian woman and neurologist to fly in space, Dr. Roberta Bondar is globally recognized for her pioneering contributions to space medicine research, fine art photography, and environment education. She expanded the horizons of millions when she joined the space shuttle Discovery for its 1992 mission, where she conducted experiments for 18 countries in the International Microgravity Laboratory, a precursor to the International Space Station. Her highly motivational talks — punctuated by her stunning photographs — focus on change, social responsibility, and our environment.
For more than a decade after her spaceflight, Dr. Bondar headed an international space medicine research team, finding new connections between astronauts recovering from spaceflight and neurological illnesses on Earth, such as stroke and Parkinson’s disease. Her techniques have been used in clinical studies at the B. I. Deaconess Medical Center, a teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School and at the University of New Mexico. Dr. Bondar was also Chancellor of Trent University in Peterborough, Ontario for six years.
Dr. Bondar is a leading speaker and consultant within the medical and scientific communities, and in the field of corporate social responsibility and care for the Earth’s environment. She is the co-founder and president of The Roberta Bondar Foundation, a not-for profit charitable organization created to inspire people of all ages to connect with nature through photography. She is also the author of four bestselling books featuring her writing and photography.
Dr. Bondar holds a BSc in Zoology and Agriculture, MSc in Experimental Pathology, PhD in Neurobiology, MD, and is a Board-Certified Neurologist by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. She sub-specialized in Neuro-ophthalmology at Tufts New England Medical Center in Boston and at Toronto Western Hospital.
Among many awards and honours, Dr. Bondar has been recognized with the NASA Space Medal, inducted into the Canadian Medical Hall of Fame and the International Women’s Forum Hall of Fame for her pioneering research in space medicine. She has also received 28 Honorary Degrees from universities across Canada and is a Companion of the Order of Canada and a recipient of the Order of Ontario. She is also a Specially Elected Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada, an Honorary Fellow and Honorary Vice-President of the Royal Canadian Geographical Society, and has her own star on Canada’s Walk of Fame.
Cory Blair, Chief People Officer, Affective Consulting
Cory loves to coach others. The one thing he loves most is about working with people is watching them realize their full potential.
He lives for the opportunity to help others better understand who they are, and clears the path for them to honour their authentic selves. In fact, that’s how he fell in love with personal assessments and team-building initiatives, like the Kolbe Index tool. To date, Cory has led over 1,700 individual and team assessments that have put people on the path to being self-aware and created more authentic organizations.
Cory understands that cultures are built upon a shared vision and common values between people. He loves helping organizations evolve their cultures into something awesome by using Affective Leadership™ practices to connect employee passion with corporate strategy.
As a true servant leader, Cory never stops challenging himself or others and brings an inquisitive approach to problem-solving. His direct and shoot-from-the-hip approach brings an open and honest approach to his engagement with individual clients as well as organizational design and is something that is appreciated by his customers.
Cory has a degree in Political Science from the University of Regina. Cory also has certifications in ProSci™ Change Management and Servant leadership. Cory also has been a certified Kolbe™ Consultant since 2010. Cory is an active member of his community serving his hometown of Balgonie Saskatchewan as a coach for football, basketball, baseball, and hockey. He is married to his beautiful wife Jessica and has 4 children, Peyton, Ryder, Nashia, and Graycee.
Donna Curran, Sr. Lead Auditor
Donna Curran has more than 20 years of experience in the IT industry including roles primarily in project management, risk management audit and security. Donna’s knowledge in risk, dynamic and versatile personality, and involvement in organizations such as PMI, ISACA and RIMS has helped transform Saskatchewan’s risk community. She is a pioneer and instrumental in introducing risk-based approach and framework for Saskatchewan’s credit unions.
Donna maintains her designations in Licensed Scrum Master, ISO 27001 Sr. Lead Auditor, Certification in Risk and Information System Control, Certified Information Systems Audit, as well as her Certified Internal Controls Auditor. Donna is also a certified Managing Professional in Information Technology Infrastructure Library V4. Donna is President for the Saskatchewan Chapter of the Risk Management Society, Vice-President of ISACA Regina and is the President of Angels 4 Warmth, a charity organization that serves the less fortunate.

Adapt adapt adapt. By the second "adapt", one should already be there. Adaptive leadership is one of anticipation and self-awareness while being driven by a learning mindset and possessing the desire and ability to adjust behaviors in order to adapt to different and challenging situations.
Cory Blair - Servant Leadership: What is it?
Rather than putting organizations’ leaders in the position of ultimate authority and power, the Servant Leader methodology is all about the sharing of power and control with those they are responsible for, and getting out of their way to allow them to be their best possible selves at work and at home. The Servant Leadership model promotes those who are servants first- people who have shown an interest to help others and be a part of a team rather than those who seek power and authority.
And the best part of Servant Leadership is the ability for leaders to connect with, build and grow meaningful and authentic relationships with their people in a way that allows them to truly understand them- and build their organization around personal successes.
