Presentation Title: The People Side of Project Change: Enabling Sustainable Outcomes

Presentation Overview:

Delivering successful projects and operational improvements depends not only on technical excellence, but on how effectively people are supported through change. This session explores practical, structured real-world approaches to change management that help ensure stakeholders are informed, engaged, and equipped without adding in unnecessary complexity. Drawing on both formal and informal change management models, the presentation focuses on how change can be embedded into everyday project and operational practices, even in environments where teams are already stretched and dedicated change management resources may not exist. Participants will gain insight into simple, scalable techniques that can be applied by project managers, technical leads, and operational teams to improve adoption, reduce resistance, and sustain results. Boost brings a unique, practical perspective shaped by hands-on experience as a project manager, process improvement specialist, and certified change management practitioner. Through real-life examples from project and operations environments, this session bridges theory and practice, demonstrating how effective change leadership can be integrated into the work teams are already doing, ultimately enabling safer, smoother, and more successful outcomes.

Presentation Learning Objective:

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:* Understand how a structured yet practical approach to change supports stakeholder buy-in across projects and operations, even in complex and high-pressure environments.* Identify key actions that help embed change into daily work, increasing adoption and reducing the risk of change fatigue or resistance.* Apply simple change management principles to sustain operational and project improvements beyond implementation.* Recognize the role leaders and practitioners play in supporting people through change when dedicated change management resources are limited.* Position both people and projects for long-term success by aligning technical solutions with effective communication, engagement, and reinforcement strategies.
