Presentation Overview: Approximately every 4 years PMI revises the Foundational Standard – A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge more affectionately known as the PMBOK® Guide. Unlike previous updates, over this past year, we have heard that there would be big changes to the 7th Edition PMBOK® Guide. This had left practitioners and organizations wondering what they should expect, and how might these changes impact the practices they have put in place. In August 2021, the 7th Edition was finally released. During this session, Brenda will discuss some of the main changes in the recently released 7th Edition PMBOK® Guide from the 6th Edition.

Presentation Learning Objective: The session will highlight how these changes might impact practitioners’ and organizations’ project management practices and culture. How can we use this new approach to guide our organizations and teams? What does this mean about the processes we had previously developed to deliver our organization’s business value?
